COLONEL JOSELITO B RAMOS 0-9876 PAF (MNSA)

Prior to his present position, COL RAMOS was the Deputy Wing Commander of the 710th Special Operations Wing. He was born in Manila and was an engineering student at the University of the Philippines-Diliman before he eventually decided for a career in the military by entering the Philippine Military Academy where he graduated in 1988.

He joined the Philippine Air Force and after flying training, he reported to the 205th Tactical Helicopter Wing where he flew combat and humanitarian assistance and disaster relief missions. After finishing the Aircraft Maintenance and Avionics Course, he would become an instructor pilot and technical instructor at the 100th Training Wing (now the Air Education and Doctrine Training Command).

His enthusiasm and quest for excellence did not only manifest in the field of aviation. Other than the numerous military courses and technical training that he took in the fields of strategic planning, defense resource management, flight safety, and strategic human resource management; he also finished his Masters Degree in Management Technology at De La Salle Lipa in 1998, obtained a Master of Science Degree in Information Technology at the University of New South Wales, Australia in 2002; and a Master in Defence Studies from the National University of Malaysia in 2010. COL RAMOS is a recipient of the Honor Graduate Award and the Commanding General, Philippine Air Force Award in the AFP General Staff Course.

COL RAMOS also assumed significant staff positions such as: Chief of the Air Force Resource Management Office; Chief of Command Staff, Air Force Reserve Command; Ex-O, Asst Chief of Air Staff for Personnel, OA-1; Asst Chief of Command Staff for Operations, AETC; Chief, Strategy and Policy Division, OJ-5; and Dir. International Affairs, OA-5. He also served as Commanding Officer of the PAF Personnel Management Center; the Tactical Operations Group 9 in Jolo, Sulu; and the Air Power Institute.

He is happily married to the former Ms Maria Rizza Verzosa and they are blessed with two children, Ria Janine and John Ryan.
